In contrast to our original 1950s bathroom as it stands, we dream of a streamlined and modern space where lack of square footage does not equal lack of efficiency. A vanity where the doors could open without threatening to fall off their hinges would help, as would seamless lines of intact tiles & a soothing wall color. White + dark wood + light gray + chrome with just a hint of blue? Sold!
Because we need to replace a shower window with glass blocks (the current wooden window frame is doing disgusting things), we also need to combine that step with new tiles and either a new bathtub or a reglazed one. While we're at it we'll need to install the new vanity (luckily we can keep the toilet) which means that only the accessories will be optional come d-day. So now it's time for budget, and maybe a few more inspiration pictures? Though I'm loving this concept it's also been done a lot in the blogosphere so I want to make sure it won't get old too fast.
Any ideas of a great resource for designing sleek but small bathrooms? It's basically our only one (though some of its leftovers will head down to the basement "bathroom") so we've got to get it right.
XO,
